30 March 2020 – While the hunt is still on as the coronavirus track and trace teams in Bloemfontein are still searching for 286 people who may have possibly been in contact with the infected churchgoers, South Africa has currently a record of 1, 326 cases of COVID-19.
The President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa announced the latest figures as he addressed the nation on day four of the nationwide lockdown.
Ramaphosa also mentioned that the novel coronavirus has taken the lives of 3 South Africans.
“Leave your home only if you need to get food or essential provisions. If you do have to go out, make sure you do everything you can not to get infected, or to infect someone else.”
There are still 17 more days and the President urges everyone to stay home. Globally there are over 700 000 reported cases of coronavirus, with over 35 000 deaths. Over 28 000 are in critical conditions while recoveries are at over 150 000.
