Get yourself a basic Absa account for R26.00 per month. This account lets you pay for the transactions you make – The Flexi Account is a pay as you use the account. Do your daily banking transactions at ease knowing that you only pay for what you use as well as a low monthly fee of R26.00.

You can do your Internet banking at ease as well as Absa cellphone banking and telephone banking. You can get Absa Instant ATM Loans when you need money for emergencies (If you qualify). The Absa Flexi Account can be used to easily top up your prepaid electricity and airtime.

The account comes with a funeral cover of the value of R15 000. Get free access to your monthly eStatement as well as NotifyMe SMS and/or email notifications.

You will have access to do your electronic transfers between your linked accounts as well as internal payments. You can request your monthly and interim statements to have them available for you when you need them.

The Account comes with a feature known as Bank on Me, where you can pay the banking fees of your family member, employee or a dependent. You can send money to anyone even when they don’t have an account with Absa via CashSend.

You can use your Debit card to make transactions. You have a choice to join Absa rewards to get cashback when you swipe your card. You will be able to get a 30% discount on flights with Rewards Lite.

Flexi Account Requirements

In order to open and qualify for the account, you must:

  • Have an income of at least R3 000
  • R50 deposit as an opening balance
  • South African ID or Smart Card ID
  • Proof of residence that’s not older than 3 months
