Starting a business online is not as easy as it sounds. The most basic thing for an online business is having an internet connection and a laptop (Highly recommended) – as you can’t do everything with a smartphone, it isn’t as smart as it ought to be.

With such a high rate of unemployment, it’s often best to start something of your own. I am a firm believer in growing something from the ground up and really give it all you can. It doesn’t have to be perfect, but it will get close and closer to perfection as you climb up a ladder.

Making money online sounds great, you do all the hard work behind the scenes – and publish the work for potential clients, readers, etc.

[ht_message mstyle=”info” title=”” show_icon=”” id=”” class=”” style=”” ]When I started off years back, I was having multiple blogs and I couldn’t maintain them, I wanted to write and publish everything, which is impossible when you are alone, however, choosing a niche that suits you, it’s the best decision you’d ever make. I then decided to drop all 30+ domains I’ve ever owned, and just choose a niche that will best work for me, having said that, here are some of the ideas likely to succeed, depending on a lot of factors, one of which requires patience.[/ht_message]

Blogging

If you don’t have money to start a blog, you can use a free service from (www.blogger.com), you don’t have to pay any fees, even though it comes with all these terms and conditions, it’s not a bad start – However, it is, and I do too, recommend having your own domain.

How to start a blog

First thing, find your niche. What stands out for you? What subject are you interested in? Is it Business? Is it News? Is it Forex?  Whatever your interest is, let’s get going and make money online.

Starting a blog requires the following:

[ht_message mstyle=”success” title=”” show_icon=”” id=”” class=”” style=”” ]

  • A domain name (You can get a domain name and a domain level you want anytime through a domain provider like GoDaddy, AfriHost, etc.)
  • You will require a hosting at a low price as a beginner (It is advisable to host with the same company you purchased the domain from for extra benefits)
  • Once you have a domain and a hosting package, you will need a developer for a great website (However, to minimize the costs, you can use a free blogging platform like WordPress to have it installed in your cPanel)
  • You can choose any theme or purchase a premium WordPress theme and start blogging.

Blogging requires useful and original content for your target audience – do this on a regular basis and you will also get ranked higher by Google.

How to make money blogging

Once you have about enough content on your blog, you can apply for Google Advertising Network (Google AdSense) – Millions of bloggers around the world use Google AdSense and it pays well. It is a pay-per-click service that pays you a few cents or more per clicked ad.

You can apply for AdSense on www.adsense.com, your blog will be reviewed for a couple of days or so and once accepted – you will be able to place ad codes on your blog. 90% of the ads are related to your blog niche.

Besides AdSense, there are a lot of other blog advertising networks such as MGID, Taboola, all of which work the same way – you just have to place the ad codes whenever you want the ad to show.  Some may have conditions in terms of Traffic, however, with Google AdSense, once approved; ads will start showing right away.

Affiliate Marketing

[ht_message mstyle=”info” title=”” show_icon=”” id=”” class=”” style=”” ]Alright, as a blogger, you may include links to whatever product you may be promoting as an affiliate, and this is a commissioned based business transaction. You can link and integrate advertising with content throughout your blog, without spamming your users and visitors.[/ht_message]

You can choose to promote a product from Amazon, as an example, and if they have an affiliate program, you can include the affiliate link for your users to use to purchase the product, which is fair.

When blogging, be you – if you are sassy, why not through it in your blog there and there, maintaining the importance and the professionalism thereof that are required of your blog niche.

You don’t have to post 100s of articles a day – you can post one article a day, but really maintain your schedule. But the first impression lasts.

Be real. I am human, you are human – we need useful information, making money shouldn’t be a priority as a blogger, but if you have original and useful content you will make money, either way, so what I am saying is – don’t put your focus on making money – focus on content and the rest will follow.

Where is most of the money in the world?

The online business has proven to have so many transactions made every mini second of each day. From forex, online products, music, video streaming, etc.  You can make money with forex trading, and you can read all our tutorials on our blog to help you get started.

The online business continues to grow massively – and believe me, if you want to make money online as a blogger, and as a beginner, it isn’t as easy as it was back in the days, now, things have gotten more difficult to crack. But the key is to focus on useful information – perhaps some SEO lessons and indexing tutors may help you get noticed and ranked.

What more does the internet offer?

[ht_message mstyle=”success” title=”” show_icon=”” id=”” class=”” style=”” ]

  • The internet strikes a remarkable balance between physical products and digital products. You can make money selling Audio, eBooks, and videos. You can integrate these into your blog as well to make it more interesting.
  • You can use your blog to make money from both video posting and content. YouTubers make money as well, but now you need to have a couple of thousands of views to be eligible for AdSense advertising on your Youtube channel – Just like I said, things are not as easy now but are 100% doable.
  • You can start today by creating a Youtube channel and start uploading your unique videos. Enabling monetization on your Youtube channel requires at least 10 000 views on your video, I stand to be corrected.

By the way, the sky is not the limit – You can go further if you want to. Let’s BLOG!
