We have been warned about social media and how it impacts the world. We often raise opinions, we fail to distinguish those we shouldn’t publicize, but the British author, J.K Rowling, who has written seven Harry Potter novels, came out to be a “trans-exclusionary radical feminist,”1 as her very own words prove us right.

JK also commented on the phrase ‘People who menstruate‘ in an opinion article about healthcare inequality pushed by Devex.

“‘People who menstruate.’ I’m sure there used to be a word for those people. Someone help me out. Wumben? Wimpund? Woomud?”2

JK continues to streamline controversial tweets which fueled petrol in the ire of trans activists. Dani Di Placido who is a Senior Contributor at Forbes reported that ”Rowling is ranting against a cause that is sure to sever any remaining goodwill from her inclusive fans.”

As if it was not enough, Rowling continues to stir the fire erupted when she tweeted: ‘“If sex isn’t real, there’s no same-sex attraction. If sex isn’t real, the lived reality of women globally is erased. I know and love trans people. But erasing the concept of sex removes the ability of many to meaningfully discuss their lives. It isn’t hate to speak the truth.’3

She was in a similar situation about a year ago when she supported a researcher, Maya Forstater, who stated that people can not decide to reverse their biological sex.
