Life, as we know it is full of surprises, some moments in life is inevitable. We may have different journeys in life, but they will all end the same, as they end for us, it should be a new beginning for our families.

There are a lot of families at this instant, worrying about funeral costs because they did not have a funeral cover. Clientele Funeral Dignity Plan starts from as little as R190 per month, you can cover up to 13 people on 1 plan, and you can cover for over R110, 000. You can afford to buy a ‘bunny chow’ every day or a packet of crisps; you can be able to cover yourself, with a little cost of R2 per day.

When you claim, clientele gives you a massive R200 airtime; you can call your family and friends and let them know of the unfortunate event of death. Your cover with clientele includes an unveiling benefit as well as a monthly grocery.

Clientele takes it as far as helping you with funeral arrangements – you can a 24/7 helpline to assist you with anything that can make things easier for you, you get grief counseling – in a case that that the body needs to be repatriated, clientele will come in handy.

2. Clientèle Ultimate Dignity Plan

Here we are the clientele ultimate dignity plan – the ultimate offer by clientele when it comes to funeral plans. Premiums start at R205 per month, an individual can get up to R100 000 whereas a family cover gets up to R500 000. With Clientele Ultimate Dignity Plan you can cover 3 children for free, and just with any clientele funeral claim, you get R200 airtime of which you can use for funeral arrangements.

This cover includes grocery as well as unveiling, to top it all, it includes the transport benefit. Yes, you can cover up to 13 people on 1 plan – that’s what makes clientele what it is, the name you trust. You will get a 24-hour funeral helpline to help you with funeral arrangements and counseling if need be.

Clientele has introduced a new benefit in which half of your premiums will be paid back when you reach the age of 65. You can use the money however you want. It’s yours.

The other half of your premiums will be received by the beneficiaries in the event of death; the premium-payback is only applicable to remembers who join the cover before the age of 50.

How to claim

In the unfortunate even that death is upon your family, you will have to lodge a claim with clientele. When you someone is deceased, you need to contact clientele and review the insurance policy of the deceased as well as assess it for approval.

There are a number of ways that you can lodge a Funeral Claim – However, please you do as such, here are the documents needed to process your claim.

  • Copy of the Death Certificate of the deceased (Must be certified – you can do so at a post office or a police station, you have to take the original copy with you)
  • The Deceased Certified copies of ID
  • Beneficiary’s Certified ID copies.

You should know that clientele have the right to ask for additional information or documents to process the claim,

  • Call the Clientele Helpline on 011 320 3000
  • You may SMS your policy number to 31041 (Standard rates apply per SMS)
  • Fax Clientele on 011 320 3170
  • Complete a call me back form online
  • You can visit the Clientele Branch or Head Office: Clientèle Office Park, Cnr. Alon and Rivonia Road, Rivonia, Johannesburg with relevant documents, it’s best to call and know the extra documents that may be needed.
  • Alternatively, you can email claims@clientele.co.za
  • Ensure that your documents are signed and certified by a Commissioner of Oaths
