The Walt Disney Company has confirmed that Disney+ streaming service will go live in South Africa on the 18 of May 2022 for R119 per month.

You will be able to stream content that is exclusive original Production from The Walt Disney Company and a wide variety of series and movies from Pixar, Marvel, National Geographic, Disney, Star Wars and more.

The shows that have already been confirmed at launch are:

The Book of Boba Fett
The Mandalorian
Moon Knight
Shang-Chi and the Legend of The Ten Rings
Luca
Encanto
Cruella
The Simpsons
The Kardashians

Disney + allows unlimited downloads on up to 10 devices, with 7 different profiles that can be added.

This is direct competition for streaming services that operate in South Africa. The good news for South Africans is that they will have more streaming service providers to choose from to cater to what they enjoy watching the most.
