Email Templates for SASSA R350 SRD grant for failed links and unmatched details

In a mini boardroom of our iBusiness Portal News, we have come to realize that many applicants are faced with the same issues.  We want to help you with our specially designed SASSA R350 SRD grant relief.  Please note that these are just templates to help you with your applications and that iBusiness not endorsed nor partnered with SASSA.

We may not have mentioned some of the documents to attach on your email, please ensure you attach your ID Copy, banking statement, and proof of residency.

For the Unpaid

Applications who have not been paid please do the following before sending an email to SASSA:

  • Ensure you check your status, (Check your status online), you will only be asked to provide your valid South African ID and the number you used to apply.
  • SASSA will indicate the months for which you are approved for.
  • If you haven’t been paid for the Month of May (This was the beginning of the Grant relief for the unemployed)
  • Please note, if your application was recently approved after rejection, we will consider your application to be in the ‘unpaid’ class of applicants.
  • Consider how long it has been – of cause if you were approved and/or still pending for May since you applied; you can use the template before.
Dear SASSA

My name is: ___YOUR FULL NAMES______

ID number:  ___YOUR VALID ID______

I have applied for the special COVID-19 Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD) of R350 on ___DATE______, and I still haven’t received any payments despite the fact that I am approved/still pending.  The number I used to apply is ____CELL NUMBER_____, and upon the successful submission of my application, I was given the APP ID number _________, as reference.

Please take a look into my account, attached is my ID number and Proof of my residential address for confirmation purposes.

For the failed links

This must be the most common error when trying to submit your banking details or when you try to check your status, and this may also be caused by trying to access your status with a number that has already been used and/or an unregistered number (please note, I am not referring to RICA)

In this regard, we can only assume that you are already approved, and/or you are unable to check your status.

Dear SASSA

Despite my effort to send my banking details/check my status I get a ‘FAILED’ response from the website. Please look into my account, and I have attached all the necessary documents.

For mismatched info

In some instances you may find an error requiring you to verify your identity – this comes about when you have sent mismatched information, sometimes it can be that the information cross-referenced on SASSA’s side is flawed, be that as it may, please email them using the following suggested template

The system requires me to verify my identity, attached are all my necessary documents.

NOTE: PLEASE ATTACH YOUR ID Number, Proof of Resident, and your bank statement.

For changed info (lost SIMs)

Even when you have lost a SIM, you can still check your status, but because SASSA will not be able to follow through your application, it is of utmost importance to reach out to SASSA and explain your situation to have your number changed.

Hi I applied on May 11,2020 and I was declined for May and still pending for June with many times trying to appeal, but nothing is happening. I don’t get answers and reasons for being declined.
