Aldelina discovers Aldonza in tears. When Roberta hears what happened to Aldonza she rushes to take out a firearm which is enclosed by a coat of Severiano’s and waits for him.

Roberta threatens Severiano for what he did to her little girl. Roberta, Adelina, and Aldonza leave the town and go to the capital city.

Severiano visits Raymundo’s grave. Cristobal finds Aldonza.
