The JSE all share index took a knock on the first day of the week closing Monday on 65 809 with a -0.6% loss since its opening price of 66 215.
On Monday the South African equity markets saw Hosken Passenger Logistics and Rail Ltd taking the title for biggest loser of the day with a -10.26% moving from R3.90 to R3.50 , whilst Arrowhead Properties Ltd. saw a 21.50% gain moving from R3.15 to R3.90, making it the biggest winner in the equity market.
Africrypt founders Raees and Ameer Cajee responded to claims of them being involved in a bitcoin “Heist” through their lawyer in BBC interview.
The Rand took a slight knock against the Greenbag on Monday closing at 14.26 from its opening of 14.15.
Gold moved from its opening of 1 775.13 to close at 1 781.44 USD/oz. giving it a 0.4% gain
Platinum saw some gains on Monday moving to 1 116.00 USD/oz. from its open price of 1 100.00 USD/oz giving it a 1.5% gain.
Palladium saw a slight move from 2 645 and closing at 2 691.50 USD/oz on Monday.
Oil (Brent Crude) closed at 74.68 from its opening of 76.18 USD.
Global Markets
The NASDAQ continued pushing into new territories with yet another record highs on Monday. The US30 took a knock yesterday mainly due to its components, Chevron which took a 3% dive and Boeing that also saw a 3% shed.
