The JSE all share index saw a slight slip yesterday closing Monday on 66 167 with a -0.24% loss from its opening price of 66 324.
On Monday the South African equity markets saw Go Life International Ltd. being the biggest loser of the day with a -50.00% loss moving from R0.02 to close the day at R0.01, whilst Aveng Ltd saw a 25.00% gain moving from R0.04 to R0.05, making it the biggest winner in the equity market.
The National Prosecution Authority stated that Interpol has issued a red notice for the Gupta brothers who are allegedly linked to deals that saw South African state owned enterprises being looted.
The Rand remained flat throughout the day but closed business day with a slight knock against the US Dollar on Monday closing at 14.26 from its opening of 14.25.
Gold moved from its opening of 1 787.30 to close at 1 791.77 USD/oz. giving it a 0.3% gain on Monday.
Platinum saw some gain yesterday moving to 1 100.56 USD/oz. from its open price of 1 093.74 USD/oz resulting in a 0.6% gain.
Palladium closed Monday’s business day on 2 820.63 from its opening price of 2 797.50.
Oil prices have seen another surge hitting a 3 year high, Brent Crude closed at 77.16 from its opening of 76.17 USD.

The Greenbag continued to weaken with the dollar index closing at 92.17.
