The JSE all share index slightly took a knock on Friday closing the day at 68 970.78 from its opening price of 69 565
On Friday the South African equity markets saw Chrometco Ltd. being the biggest loser of the day with a -30.00% loss moving from R0.10 to close the day at R0.07, whilst Ellies Holdings Ltd. saw a 20.00% gain moving from R0.20 to R0.24, making it the biggest winner in the equity market.
Tributes have been pouring in amid the unexpected passing of Mr Shona Ferguson.
Gold slight took a knock moving from 1 828.17 USD/oz to 1 814.19 USD/oz.
Platinum moved from 1 063.67 USD/oz. to 1 051.55 USD/oz. resulting in a -1.1% loss
Palladium continued to recover closing the day at 2 664 USD/oz.
Oil prices continued on their recovery trajectory on Friday with Brent Crude moving from 76.05 to closing at 76.33 USD.
USD Dollar Index moved to 92.00 from 91.75 on Friday. US equity markets closed lower on Friday with Amazon.com, Inc leading by -7.56%. DAX and FTSE 100 futures are up 0.5% and 0.4% respectively, U.S. futures are posting gains of 0.5 – 0.6%.
