It’s official, President Cyril Ramaphosa has declared the 1st of November a public holiday to allow South Africans to participate in the free and fair municipal elections.
All eligible and registered voters are encouraged to come out in numbers and exercise their constitutional right to vote.
The president stated that voting empowers citizens to elect new leaders and influence service delivery.
Registered voters will only be able to cast their votes at the polling stations in the wards where they are registered.
