The Rand gained by 0.4% against the US Dollar on Friday closing at R14.73 from its opening price of R14.78.
Commodities closed last week on a positive note with most commodities closing Friday with some gains.
Gold gained by 1.5%% moving from 1 752.90 USD/oz to 1 779.74 USD/oz.
Copper gained by 1.1% closing at 9 542.50 USD/t. from its opening price of 9 435.75 USD/t.
Platinum gained by 0.8% closing the day at 1 032.08 USD/oz
Oil prices took s slightly knock on Friday with Brent Crude moving from 71.31 to closing at 70.59 USD.
USOil down to test $67.00
