As explained on Level 5 and Level 4, on Level 3 which is expected to commence on the 1st of June, all the rules and regulations and all COVID-19 health and safety protocols are to be adhered to or face dire consequences in these unfortunate days of the pandemic.
On Level 3 South Africa expects the regulations to have been eased especially in regard to the sale of alcohol and cigarettes.
‘Off-premises consumption of alcohol, subject to limited hours (Mon-Wed 8 – 12 pm) and subject to an approved industry plan on social distance and quantitative restrictions. No consumption on-premises.’
There will be alcohol purchase limits as well as limited hours. This will be explained further as we draw closer to Level 3.
On level 3, Motor vehicle sales are permitted subject to Directions as well as Postal services and courier services (i.e. eCommerce) related to the transport of retail goods, subject to directions in regard to Information and communication services.
As we slowly regain the economic strength, on level 3, Limited domestic air travel will be permitted, with a restriction on the number of flights per day and authorization based on the reason for travel and subject to the ports of entry arrangements
All mining services are to resume and walking, jogging and cycling will be permitted
‘Curfews will be implemented between 8 pm and 5 am’
