Sassa officials to appear in court for allegedly stealing disability grant money

ENCA has reported that 23 (Twenty-three) SASSA officials and beneficiaries have appeared in the Nelspruit Regional Court and have been accused of allegedly defrauding SASSA. The social security agency has been defrauded in what’s suspected to be false disability grant claims.

Here’s what you can do when changing SASSA payment method for the R350 grant

It is believed to be more like a pyramid of criminals, an inside job with outside recruits where the suspects would withdraw the supposedly claimed disability grant funds and then pay off a small amount to their recruits.

The case has been moved to 4 September. ENCA has also reported 3 other people who have been accused of hacking the SASSA system and currently remanded in custody and can apply for bail on Friday, 7 August.
