SASSA: Sending banking details via Srd.sassa.gov.za

The system has been crashing as millions of South Africans who were previously rejected, and now approved, fail to submit their banking details via the link that was sent by SASSA. However, most were able to submit banking details with ease while in other cases the SASSA’s SRD website crashes.

If you have been trying to send banking details via srd.sassa.gov.za without any success, the only thing that can be done is to wait until there are fewer people attempting to send the banking details. In the early hours of the morning, that’s when the website is not overloaded.

Indeed SASSA kept its promise by relooking at rejected applications, of which have now been approved. If you are still DECLINED, do not despair, your account will be reviewed as well. Those who are still pending, your account is currently been reviewed.

For those having issues with the link, please comment below on the issues you are currently facing.

I was approved for May on 2 July received sms link to upload banking details. I received the following sms

“Application ID: ######. SASSA confirms successful update of banking details for ABSA.”

On the 18 July I was approved for June. It’s the 26 July 2020 today I have not received any money paid into my account or to go to post office. I also have no pay date when checking my status on SASSAS website.

Someone I know was approved on 21 July 2020 and his status shows pay date for the 29 July 2020. How come he received a pay date and is going to receive his 2and or 3d payment he was approved after me and received pay date before me?

I have emaild SASSA and contacted them several times with no luck I have not recived any feed back via email. Nor did I get in touch with them via phone call. Via phone call you spend between 45min to 2hours on phone call just when they answer they put the phone down in your ear or pretend there is no one while you can here them in the back ground or pretending they can’t hear you and drop calls the last time I phone was 8 times on the last day I give up.

Sassa dont want to help any srd applicant in any way.
