The following adjustments will come to effect under level 2 lockdown:
• Funerals are restricted to 50 people.
• Indoor gatherings are restricted to 250 people and outdoor gatherings a maximum of 500 people
• Curfew will now be between 23h00 – 04h00
• Alcohol sales for off-site consumption will now be permitted from 10h00 – 18h00 from Monday-Friday. On-site consumption will be subject to licensing permissions until 22h00.
President Ramaphosa has reiterated that these adjustments will be reviewed in two weeks. The President urges more South Africans to come forward for vaccinations so that sports events and large gatherings may be permitted.
