President Ramaphosa has moved South Africa to adjusted alert level 1 and here is what you need to know about the regulations:

Regulations under adjusted alert level 1:
• The hours of curfew will starting at 00h00 and ending at 04h00.

• Interprovincial travel for leisure may continue.

• Non-essential establishments like restaurants, taverns, bars and fitness centres may be opened. These establishments will, however, need to close by 23h00 to allow their employees and patrons to travel home before the start of the curfew.

• Gatherings will be allowed but will be limited to a maximum of 750 people indoors and 2000 people outdoors. Where the venue is too small to accommodate these numbers with appropriate social distancing, then no more than 50 percent of the capacity of the venue may be used.

• 100 people are permitted to attend a funeral, night vigils and after tears are still prohibited.

• Alcohol may be sold as per the normal operating hours of the licensed establishment, however cannot be sold after 23h00.
