The Standard Bank Professional Banking Account comes with black cards and no monthly income is required, with a low monthly fee of R215.00. Be professional with the Standard Bank account and get a black credit card or black Cheque card and receive preferential interest rates.

You will be able to contact your Private Banking team on WeChat or Facebook. If you want to invest you will get flexible terms with great rates for your savings. Your account gives you access to financial advisers ready to discuss with you, estate planning, insurance, and trusts.

You get deals that have been negotiated and offers for Diners Club Members. The account includes an annual Platinum Diners Club Card fees. You also get access to CafeBlue OR Tambo International Airport as well as access to Connection Hub.

You get 12 free domestic Bidvest Lounge visits a year when you use your Black Credit Card with Standard Bank.  As a traveler, you are automatically insured to travel cover when you pay for flights with your card.

Your ordered forex notes will be delivered for free provided that you are in Gauteng, KZN, PMB, and Cape Town as well as free delivery for your TravelWallet card.

Linking your card to SnapScan or Masterpass apps is made easy so you can make secure payments using your phone. Should you lose your card, you are automatically protected. It comes with access to your card functionality (Activate, deactivate, reactivate) and 3D secure verification to maximize your security when you shop online.

The Standard Bank Professional Banking Account has a monthly fee of R215.00 and once you have used your monthly bundled services, you will pay as you transact.

Professional banking account requirements

To apply and qualify for the account you need:

  • Copy of your Valid ID document or Smart Card ID or Passport/work permit for non-South Africans, if you are a non-SA student, a study permit will be needed
  • You will need to produce proof of residence that’s not older than 3 months.
  • You need to be on a professional degree (See a list of Approved degrees), if you are in your final year of study, you can produce your latest results.
  • You have to be younger than 31
