The JSE all share index closing the day at 66 976 from its opening price of 67 428.
On Wednesday the South African equity markets saw Chrometco Ltd. (CMO) being the biggest loser of the day with a -22.22% loss moving from R0.09 to close the day at R0.07, whilst Rebosis Property Fund Ltd. (REB) saw a 16.00% gain moving from R0.25 to R0.29, making it the biggest winner in the equity market.
The Rand continues to recover for the eighth day against the US Dollar closing at R14.41 from its opening price of R14.52
Commodities took a slight knock on Wednesday with most of our listed commodities closing with losses.
Gold largely remained flat, moving from 1 813.62 USD/oz to 1 813.90 USD/oz.
Copper slipped yesterday closing at 9 332.25 USD/t. from its opening price of 9 528.25 USD/t.
Platinum also took a knock, closing the day at 1005.19 USD/oz from its opening price of 1015.83 USD/oz.
Following yesterday’s OPEC+ meeting, Oil prices took a slight knock with Brent Crude moving from 72.99 to closing at 71.59 USD.
USDollar Index continued to decline.
Another fresh record high for the NASDAQ100 following the biggest tech stock rally on record. China tech stocks gain 4-day straight. Topix and JPN225 are up 0.03% and 0.19% respectively.
Treasury futures are also slightly higher. GER30 and UK100 futures are down -0.2% and -0.1% respectively USOil declined at $68.00 after OPEC+ alliance agrees to return more barrels
