The JSE all share index closing the day at 66 254 from its opening price of 66 372.
On Monday the South African equity markets saw Steinhoff International Holdings N.V. (SNH being the biggest loser of the day with a -21.62% loss moving from R3.70 to close the day at R2.90, whilst Putprop Ltd. (PPR) saw a 24.05% gain moving from R3.95 to R4.90, making it the biggest winner in the equity market.
The Rand continues to recover against the US Dollar closing at R14.24 from its opening price of R14.37
Commodities closed off Monday with a slight knock in prices.
Gold moved from 1 827.73 USD/oz to 1 823.29 USD/oz.
Copper slightly gained, closing at 9 441.25 USD/t. from its opening price of 9 420.50 USD/t.
Platinum slipped by -0.3%, closing the day at 1023.73 USD/oz from its opening price of 1026.76 USD/oz.
Oil prices continued taking a knock, with Brent Crude moving from 72.61 to closing at 72.22 USD.
The US Dollar Index has continued to hold above 92.00. The USA500 FUTS continues to hit new highs. USOil has slightly recovered, moving from $68.00 and now is back to $69.00.
The December 10-year Bund future is down -7 ticks at 172.29, with Treasury futures underperforming slightly. DAX and FTSE 100 futures are down -0.1% and -0.2% respectively.
The Reserve bank of Australia has left the interest rates unchanged.
