TymeBank introduced its own Money Transfer channel, formerly named MoneyTransfer, now replaced by MoneySend – there are no documents needed when making the transactions. No bank is needed; you just have to register once at any selected Pick n Pay or Boxer stores. Registration is done at a TymeBank Kiosk, and you can send and receive cash at any Pick n Pay or Boxer till points across South Africa.

When sending money through a TymeBank Kiosk, the fund sent are available immediately, this can be done at more than 10 000 Pick ‘n Pay and Boxer till points countrywide.

This will be linked securely to your smart shopper and Boxer Cash Box cards.

How to Register

  • When you first register – you’ll need to bring along with you an ID, Smart Shopper or Boxer Cash Box Card as well as your cellphone.
  • Go to the nearest Pick n Pay or Boxer store where there’s a TymeBank Kiosk.
  • Register using the screen provided by TymeBank and finish Registration.

How to Send Money?

  • When sending money, you are going to need a Smart Shopper or Boxer Cash Box Card, the same one you used for registration.
  • Go to any Pick ‘n Pay or Boxer Store till point and ask to send Money

How to Receive Money?

  • When you receive cash, an SMS will be sent to your cellphone with a money transfer Code
  • Go to any Pick ‘n Pay or Boxer Store till point and provide the cashier with the SMS code
  • Collect your money
