You can now apply to be enrolled for the year 2022 at the University of the Witwatersrand. On a Facebook page, wits announced that the Undergraduate applications for 2022 are open.

You may apply online, using the post office or visit the University directly (this is mostly recommended, just to get the hang of it as a new student).

Closing Dates

You can apply for Faculty of Health Sciences (all programmes); Bachelor of Architecture; Bachelor of Audiology, Bachelor of Speech-Language Pathology; BA Film and TV until 30 June 2021.

You can apply for all other University programmes and Residence applications until 30 September 2021.

When applying you are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of R100 for South African Citizens, R700 for international citizens. You are required to make payments before the closing dates. When making payments, ensure you use your Personal Number or T Number as reference.

Payment details are found on the Wits Portal. Once you have successfully applied, you will receive an acknowledgment email from the university, which will contain a personal number which will eventually be your student number. You will also receive a reference person for you to contact should you have any queries about your application.

Correspondence from the university will be available on the Student Portal Website where you will be able to check the status of your application and everything else that might be needed to complete your application.

It is advised that you keep your contact details up-to-date on the self-service portal for your convenience.
